Wood Fences – Things to consider.  What kind of wood is used to construct your home?

Western Red Cedar – Decks, patios, siding, trim work

Treated – Most of the structurals for framwork of the house as well as decks outside the home

Spruce – ?

White Cedar – ?

Bamboo -maybe your floors

The point is when you are considering a wood fence why use a species of wood that does not relate to our geographical building practices.  Western Red Cedar and Treated Pine are the two most commonly used species of wood for building here in the Chicagoland area.  Consider a Western Red Cedar Fence or Copperwood Treated Pine Fence from Tru-Link.
